The CASFM Stormwater Quality Committee is comprised of industry professionals that facilitate discussion, information exchange, and educational opportunities related to stormwater quality management techniques for the built environment with the goal to reduce surface runoff and improve receiving water quality.
The committee meets frequently virtually, and hosts in person meetups multiple times throughout the year.

The Stormwater Quality Committee plans and leads stormwater quality field trips annual at various locations around Colorado. Our goal is to enhance design and construction of stormwater quality control measures through visiting good examples of water quality facilities and connecting practitioners. Fall 2023 Field Trip to CSU Spur
In October 2023 the Stormwater Quality Committee led a field trip to the CSU Spur campus. The group toured the facility and learned about research related to the “Backyard” bioretention cells, the Water TAP lab, and green roofs throughout the campus. Check out the video of the field trip below.
